Campaign Manager

BrownMillerGroup is hiring a Campaign Manager to manage a Democratic campaign, beginning immediately.

A successful candidate will be a dynamic individual possessing a breadth of campaign management experience and demonstrating a range of professional skills.  S/he will be passionate about building and running people-powered campaigns.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Managing a staff
  • Managing a campaign budget
  • Assisting in fundraising
  • Working directly with the candidate and other stake holders to implement the campaign plan
  • Direct all campaign communications, including working closely with the press

Required Skills and Qualities:

  • Working with the extended management team to engage stake holders
  • Conducting or managing grass tops politics
  • Recruiting, hiring, training and managing field organizers and volunteers
  • Managing and tracking all facets of team member relationships including development, performance assessment, payroll and databasing
  • Tracking and reporting progress to goal in real time
  • Executing and bottom-lining quality control mechanisms
  • Delivering program assessments and recommending strategic or tactical adjustments in real time

Seasonal Associates

BrownMillerGroup is seeking Associates in our New York City office beginning ASAP through the Fall Semester.

We seek associates, either current students or recent graduates, who will help manage field, communications, and digital programs for our clients as well as find, pitch, and sign new political clients across the country.

Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting campaign strategy plans
  • Election and district research
  • Candidate research
  • Database management
  • Research, write, and implement field and GOTV plans including canvassing, training volunteers, and managing phone banks
  • Draft press releases and email blasts
  • Support the BMG team in various projects

Requirements include:

  •  A passion for politics and elections
  • Creative thinkers who are goal-oriented and able to function well in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills as well as strong written and oral communications skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, numbers-driven, and self-managing
  • Proficiency with office programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Knowledge of a foreign language, NGP VAN, Nationbuilder, HTML or CSS is a plus but not required
